I was saved when I was 12 years old in my bedroom October 31, 2000. After months of struggling with my own doubts, I surrendered to the Lord and trusted Him for salvation. About a year later, I was called to preach and surrendered to the Mission Field at a youth camp. After this, I spent most of my youth serving the Lord by conducting Bible Clubs, VBS’s, and Children’s Conferences all over the USA. I graduated with my D. Min in Christian Education from Trinity Graduate School in Sarasota Florida and met my wife Allix shortly thereafter. I was then ordained and sent out of Trinity Baptist Church of Abita Springs, LA and served as a Children’s Pastor for 10 years at Shady Grove Baptist Church of Bossier City, LA. I was blessed to be raised by Godly parents and in a wonderful church. The Lord showed me that I was lost at the age of 7, and that neither baptism nor repeating a prayer that I really hadn’t understood, had been enough to save me. My Dad led me to the Lord on the side of the road on the way home from Sunday night service. When I was a teenager, the Lord called my parents to the country of Sri Lanka as missionaries. It was during deputation at the age of 14 that I surrendered my life to the Lord to labor in His field as a missionary. There were so many incredible blessings and lessons that the Father allowed me to experience during the 7 years I served with my family in the country of Sri Lanka, from learning the Sinhala and Tamil languages, gaining new family in the Lord, teaching and growing together with His disciples, to outreach through disaster relief following the 2004 tsunami in Asia. I met Dustin shortly after my family returned to the States and my Dad became Pastor at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Dustin and I were married, and were blessed with 10 incredible years of serving the Lord through ministering to the children and youth at Shady Grove Baptist Church, and the opportunity for me to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Bible Studies through our church’s Bible College. I have loved and desired nothing more than serving the Lord together with my husband and the children that God has given us.

Both Evelyn and Alan have received Christ as their Savior over the past couple years. They are thrilled about going to Japan to tell people about Jesus. Evelyn is passionate about learning how to serve the Lord in teaching and reaching children, and Alan loves evangelism and wants to be a preacher when he grows up. The Lord has been working in Russell’s heart about His need for salvation, and so we are praying for his salvation in God’s perfect time. We are also praying for our newest daughter, Baby Peggy, to be saved as she grows older. Our children have been such a blessing and encouragement! Our family ministry would definitely not be complete without them!
